There are three Foundation routes at the University of Lancaster:
Business and Management Studies leading to degrees in Accounting & Finance; Business Studies
Engineering and Computer leading to Computer Science; Economics; Engineering; Communication & Information Technology
Law and Social Studies leading to Law; Management; Mathematics & Statistics; Politics; Sociology
On all these courses teaching is rigorous covering academic subjects, study skills and English language training. There is continuous assessment to that progress in on track. Assessment methods include continuous coursework and specific assessments at the end of each term or module as well as a series of presentations and extended essays.
