● Trusted and rigorous: quality assurance

The International College programmes are regularly and rigorously quality assured by the University of Liverpool.

The Joint Academic Advisory Board is made up of staff from the College and the University of Liverpool. The Board has overall responsibility for assurance of academic standards of all programmes and the quality of the learning opportunities provided.

Because the programmes have been developed together with university partners, they introduce students the exact subjects they will study in more depth at university.

The College has received British Accreditation Council accreditation.

● Support For Student’s Learning

Each student has a Learning Support Tutor whom they meet every two weeks in the first term and every month later on. The Learning Support Tutor’s job is to discuss individual progress in class and encourage a disciplined, effective study habit ready for university.

They aim to keep the student focussed on their ultimate goal in mind – university studies. Visits are arranged to progression department and staff there give information sessions and activities.

Mid-term reports are to give concrete evidence of progress so far. As these results become available and as each student’s interests develop, staff will discuss their future academic plans. As class sizes are small students get to know their tutor and classmates quickly and feel confident about participating.
