Aston University

Founded in 1895 and a university since 1966, Aston University is an established institution incorporating a rigorous, dynamic approach to teaching, research, research and academic excellence. The university offers career focused foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes on a safe and friendly close knit campus in the city centre of Birmingham, UK.

Student Life

There are a range of activities available for students at Aston. Aston Student’s Guild provides many activities for students both on and off campus. They organise a wide range of events throughout the year, including Astonbury, the famous end of year party around the lake at the heart of the campus. The Guild also houses many of our student facilities, including a bank, a hairdresser, computer workstations, social and study areas and Einstein’s bar, a great place to relax and grab something to eat.

Accommodation

Aston guarantees accommodation for International students who wish to live in University residences for the duration of their studies. All of our accommodation is located on campus, just a few minutes’ walk from the teaching facilities, and approximately 10 minutes walk from Birmingham City Centre. We are currently building some brand new accommodation on campus, and from late 2010 the first phase of the GBP215 million Aston Student Village project will be complete. This brand new accommodation will provide students with modern and stylish living facilities in a safe and comfortable environment.
